President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov congratulated the Organic Movement Federation BIO-KG with the award in the annual Equator Prize nomination (UN Development Programs), which was awarded to innovative initiatives of local communities and representatives of indigenous peoples of the world who demonstrated exceptional achievements in the field of eco-friendly solutions for sustainable local development.
The winning initiatives were, in particular, awarded for achievements in the field of protection, restoration and/or rational management of biological diversity, the purpose of which is to achieve positive results in the context of promoting development.
“This award was received as a result of the tireless efforts of the organization in the name of preserving land from degradation, the ideas of spreading organic agriculture, in general, caring for Mother Earth, I wish you success in all your endeavors, as all this is being done for the sake of a bright future of Kyrgyzstan,” the congratulatory letter says.
